THE KID'S RUN

The kids' run took place at 9:45am, 15 minutes before the kick-off of the 5K and 10K run and walks. The kids' run was open to anyone ages five and under, and registration for this event was included in their registration for either the 5K or 10K. This year, the kids' run was a 100m event, starting at the far end of the track and finishing at the finish line.

THE 5K

The 5K started at 10:00am, just after the kids' run and the raffle drawing. This event was open to all ages. Strollers, bikes, wheelchairs, and scooters were welcome. If you participated in this course, you took a left when exiting the Forest Grove High School track. You then took a right on B Street, followed by a left on Willamina. After that, you took a right on Main Street and continue six blocks before taking a right on 21st Avenue. You took the second right onto B Street and followed that all the way to its intersection with Nichols/Bonnie Lane. Then, you took a left onto Nichols Lane and followed that back to the high school. This event finished with a lap around the track. The 5K course is flat and winds through Forest Grove's neighborhoods and downtown areas.

THE 10K

The 10K started at 10:00am, along with the 5K. This event was open to all ages. Strollers, bikes, wheelchairs, and scooters were welcome. If you participated in this course, you took a right when exiting the Forest Grove High School track. You continued straight until you hit a dead-end, at which you took a right onto Thatcher Road. You then took your first left onto David Hill Road and your second left after that onto Forest Gale Drive. You stayed on Forest Gale Drive until it turned into Willamina Avenue. As you stayed straight, Willamina turned into Goff Road and eventually into 23rd Avenue. 23rd dead-ended on Main Street, at which you took a right and then an immediate left onto University Avenue. You then took your first right onto College Way. College Way runs along the edge of Pacific University, and you took a right on 21st Avenue partway along the campus. You took your third right onto B Street and followed that all the way to its intersection with Nichols/Bonnie Lane. At the turn onto 21st Avenue, you joined the 5K course. You took a left onto Nichols Lane and followed that back to the high school. This event finished with a lap around the track. The first part of the 10K course is somewhat hilly, but it flattens out as you re-enter the main city.
